Purpose
Portola Elementary Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) supports the entire Portola community, providing funding and human-power to support numerous programs and events that enrich our school environment. Our Portola Elementary PTA includes parents, teachers, staff, and family & friends and is led by an elected Executive Board. Without the support of the PTA, many of our fantastic programs would not exist. We thank you for your commitment in engaging with the Portola community. December 17, 2021 - Yearbook prices will increase on January 1, 2022. The last day to purchase yearbooks is January 14, 2022, no exceptions! Get yours here today.
December 3, 2021 - Patches helped volunteer during our Toys for Tots event during drop-off! Bring your new, unwrapped toy today at pickup!
December 2, 2021 - Check out this month's message from our Care coordinators. Bring your new, unwrapped toys to Portola during drop-off and pickup this Friday (Dec 3) to support Toys for Tots!
December 1, 2021 - Let Jack's do the cooking on Wednesday, December 8, 2021! 20% of all proceeds go towards Portola's 5th Grade Outdoor Education. Present the flyer when ordering or pickup, only valid when ordering directly through Jacks (excludes DoorDash, GrubHub, etc..).
November 19, 2021 - Since we hit our fundraising goal for the Hike-A-Thon, we sponsored lunch for the entire school.
November 18, 2021 - We had our Paint Night (for grownups) last night at Pinot's Palette and had a great time!

November 3, 2021 - Now that our annual Mike Casey’s Sweeney Ridge Hike-A-Thon has come to a close, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve exceeded the goal we set for this fundraiser! The funds raised will go towards academic tools, teacher and staff training, and educational enrichment programs such as field trips, outdoor education, and much more.
Reaching our fundraising milestone was made possible through the generous support of each and every student, teacher, staff member, parent, guardian, relative, neighbor, friend, community member, and for these local businesses who donated to our Hike-A-Thon: Bill's Lock Shop, DojoUSA, Hotel Aura, Lahlouh, Mazra, Medical Care Professionals, Networking Xperts, S&R Drywall, Sajj San Bruno, San Bruno Firefighters, San Bruno Lions, and Trattoria Da Vittorio.
We are grateful for the time, money, and energy that is invested in our students to strengthen Portola Elementary’s educational environment.

October 22, 2021 - Our annual hike will take place next Saturday, October 30, 2021! For details about the hike, please check out our hike information page and reach out to your class representative.
October 20, 2021 - We're about a week and a half left before our hike on October 30th! We'll send out more details about the hike this week, here's a preview of the shirts and hats that Robert Gutierrez designed. Every student will get a shirt regardless of the amount donated, and the top fundraising class will get hats. Thanks again to Lahlouh for donating these items! Donate today!
October 19, 2021 - Our first Portola Elementary PTA "Family Night Out" fundraiser of this school year will be tonight (Tuesday, 10/19) from 4pm-8pm only at Chipotle inside of Tanforan.
Bring in the flyer below, show it on your smartphone, or tell the cashier so that 33% of event sales will be donated to Portola Elementary PTA. For order online pickup, use code Y2KLRLX in ‘promo’ field before checkout. Orders placed online or through the Chipotle app for pickup using this unique code will be counted.
October 12, 2021 - Big thanks to Lahlouh, a local business in Burlingame, for donating the shirts and hats for our Hike-A-Thon!
October 5, 2021 - Please register your student for the Hike-A-Thon by Thursday, October 7, 2021 to reserve a shirt size.
September 27, 2021 - The Portola PTA membership drive ends in a few days. Sign ups can be done here. The class that gets to 100% first or has the high % of members will get a t-shirt. The first 100 student members will receive a Portola keychain and water bottle sticker, too.

September 15, 2021 - If you have a question for Dr. Krotz about Covid Pool Testing, she'll be hosting a Q&A during tomorrow's PTA meeting. You can ask her or the PTA any questions you might have using this Google Form.
